Principals
RDC’s two founding principals are recognized leaders in the international hospitality consulting industry, with over 25 years’ experience managing consulting assignments involving both the public and private sectors,working for international hotel companies, institutional investors, financial institutions, public financing agencies and municipalities, and leading developer clients.
MARIE L. DEXTER is the co-founder and principal of Resort Development Consultants, Inc. She is in charge of the firm’s international consulting practice, responsible for the management and coordination of all hospitality consulting engagements. Ms. Dexter is a recognized authority on the international hospitality and tourism industries, with over 30 years’ experience in hospitality consulting assignments throughout the Caribbean and Latin America.
Previously, as international consulting partner for Pannell Kerr Forster in Miami, she supervised the firm’s management advisory services in Latin America and the Caribbean. Her background and experience includes responsibilities as area manager and director of development for Sheraton Hotel Corporation in the Latin America and Caribbean division where she was responsible for negotiating and structuring hotel management contracts, franchise agreements and property acquisitions on behalf of Sheraton Corporation internationally.
Ms. Dexter received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of New Rochelle in New York, and completed her Master of Science degree studies in hotel and food service management, and Bachelor of Science degree in travel and tourism management from Florida International University in Miami. As a native of Puerto Rico, she speaks fluent Spanish. She is a member of the ULI-Urban Land Institute.
FRANK J. CSAR is the co-founder and principal of Resort Development Consultants, Inc. Mr. Csar has been actively involved in consulting for the hospitality and real estate industries for over 30 years, with specialized expertise in the development economics and financial structuring of hotels, mixed-use resorts, golf clubs, casinos and other hospitality-driven real estate products including condo-hotel units, branded residences and fractional real estate.
Prior to founding RDC in 1988, Mr. Csar was manager of real estate advisory services for a leading international consulting firm in Miami, responsible for real estate consulting engagements in Florida and internationally in the Caribbean and Latin America. His background and experience in the real estate and banking industries includes previous positions as SVP of a diversified Florida real estate investment and development company; director of acquisitions for a national syndication of public real estate limited partnerships; SVP and chief financial officer of a NYSE bank holding company; and principal of an NASD investment banking firm. He is a licensed real estate broker in the State of Florida.
Mr. Csar received his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, and Bachelor of Science Degree from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.
